A Day in the Life of a Budtender

Morning Routine

As the sun begins to rise over the bustling streets of East Los Angeles, I start my day with a rejuvenating cup of coffee and a quick review of the day’s inventory. Working at Arts District Cannabis, every day promises a new adventure in the world of legal cannabis.

Customer Interactions

The dispensary opens its doors, and soon enough, a steady stream of customers flows in. Some are seasoned cannabis enthusiasts, while others are newcomers seeking guidance and information about our products. It’s my job to provide a welcoming and educational experience, answering questions about strains, potencies, and consumption methods.

  • Recommending the perfect strain for a customer’s desired effects
  • Explaining the differences between indica, sativa, and hybrid varieties
  • Sharing tips on proper dosing and responsible consumption

Community Outreach

Throughout the day, I have the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of customers from South Gate, Alhambra, Montebello, Monterey Park, and Huntington Park. Each person has their own unique story and reason for seeking cannabis, and it’s a privilege to be a part of their journey.

Evening Wind-down

As the day draws to a close, I take a moment to reflect on the conversations and connections I’ve made. Working in this industry isn’t just a job; it’s a chance to destigmatize cannabis and educate the community on its potential benefits. With a sense of fulfillment, I bid farewell to my colleagues, knowing that tomorrow will bring new opportunities to make a positive impact.
